Privacy Policy
This policy covers Haku, a family management app made by Corsica Labs. The short version: your data is yours. It lives on your iCloud account. We never see it, collect it, sell it, or share it.
What data we collect
None. Haku does not have its own servers or databases. We do not collect your name, email, usage data, device identifiers, location, or any other personal information.
The app does not include analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking code in its current version.
Where your data lives
All data you create in Haku — tasks, shopping lists, chores, wish lists, allowance records, and everything else — is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework.
This means your data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, and is subject to Apple's encryption and security practices. You can review Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Because the data is in your iCloud account, it is accessible across your family's devices through Apple's standard iCloud sharing mechanisms — not through any infrastructure we operate.
Data sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your data with any third party. We have no data to share — it never passes through our systems.
Children's privacy
Haku is designed to be used by families, including children. Because all data stays within your iCloud account under your control, there is no collection of children's data by Corsica Labs. Parents manage their family's iCloud sharing settings directly through Apple.
Future versions
If a future version of Haku introduces features that require server-side data processing — such as booking, scheduling, or cloud backups outside iCloud — this policy will be updated before those features ship, and you will be notified through the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
